Peace, Tranquillity and Sunshine.

Are these three of the things you want most in a French gîte holiday?
We have them to give away here at Broue in the South Charente!
Look on any map and you probably won’t find Broue that accounts for the Peace and Tranquillity. And as for Sunshine, we have as many sunshine hours as the Riviera it just won’t cost you as much to sit under it! And if the fourth thing you want most from a gîte holiday in France is good local food and wine, then you won’t be disappointed in our local markets. You will find one nearby on most days of the week positively heaving with good, fresh, homegrown produce. And the vineyards that greet you on every turn produce gallons of glorious wine to tempt and tantalise your taste buds. Yes, the South Charente is one of the best-kept secrets of France as well as one of the best-kept areas of France.

So, you’ve decided that the South Charente is the place for you, but what about the accommodation? Well, Agnes and Dominic Ballu they’re your genial hosts have, over the last thirty years, perfected the combination of French style and authenticity with modern comfort and convenience in a way that Amanda Lamb (A Place in the Sun) and the other television presenters can only dream of. There are three gîtes to choose from sleeping eight, seven or four people. Or you can open up the entire building and have enough room for up to twenty. But do be prepared, you may well find yourself coming back year after year…
